What should you consider in an emergency?
- Please call the vets before you leave so they can prepare for your emergency.
- Briefly describe the problem on the phone and inform the person you are talking to about the species, breed and age of your animal
- Please let us know how long it will take to get to the veterinary practice
- Leave your name and, if possible, a cell phone number where you can be reached on the way
- think of a transport box
- If your animal is bleeding, take a cloth or large towel into the car
- If possible, don't travel alone but with two people
- drive slowly and carefully to avoid endangering yourself and others
- Tell your family which vet you went to
